Plugable USB 2.0 Wi-Fi 6 Wireless Adapter

Upgrade desktops and laptops with the Plugable Wi-Fi 6 USB Adapter (AX1800). Powered by the Realtek RTL8832BU chipset, it adds modern 802.11ax performance with dual-band 2.4/5 GHz, efficiency features like OFDMA/MU-MIMO, and WPA3 security, an easy way to replace a broken internal card or bring older PCs up to date.

Setup is simple. Automatically installs in Windows 10 and 11 with another active network connection; an offline driver is available for managed or offline PCs. Not compatible with Windows 7/8.x, macOS, Linux/ChromeOS, TVs/consoles, or Windows on ARM.

Right sized expectations: this adapter uses USB 2.0 (theoretical 480 Mb/s). In real-world use, typical throughput is about 200–350 Mbps depending on distance, interference, router features, and channel width. For best results, use 5 GHz for speed and 2.4 GHz for extended range.

The compact design stays inserted without blocking adjacent ports and is well suited to everyday browsing, meetings, and streaming. On tower PCs, a front USB port can improve reception; a short USB extension (not included) can help reduce interference and improve stability.

This WiFi adapter for pc is TAA compliant; backed by Plugable’s U.S.-based support. Chipset: Realtek RTL8832BU. Security: WPA3 (backward compatible with WPA2). Drivers are available from Plugable Support if needed.
